Your help wanted

Dear fellow Reds and Supporters

Each year there is a charity event known as Convoy For Kids, held by Novita Children's Services who provide children with disabilities and their families with support and assistance. Once a year, hundreds of truck drivers from around the state get together to give kids with disabilities the 'ride of a lifetime' as they travel through the streets of Adelaide. This event is a highlight of the children's year, a unique experience where they are treated like stars for a day.

This year, PAOCCC's James May will be participating in this special event. Some of you may be aware of James's family's business, Suburbins - a miniskip company which operates in and around Adelaide. Unfortunately, each year there are children who miss out on the opportunity to actually ride in the convoy, so our goal is to fill a miniskip full of teddy bears and soft toys which will be handed out to these kids, ensuring they all have something to remember the special day by.

You can help by donating teddy bears or soft toys to James before the 24th May 2009. These can be previously cherished but recently unloved toys lying around the house, or alternatively you can purchase a new one and donate it to this incredibly noble and worthy cause.

This is a chance for the PAOCCC community to show its support to James, and help make a difference in the lives of these kids. Those attending the End of Season Dinner this Friday are encouraged to bring their donations for James to collect, or you can arrange an alternative collection.

Any queries can be directed to James via email at suburbin@bigpond.net.au, subject titled "Attention James".

Thanking you in advance for your generous support.
