Andrew Heitmann reports.

Saturday 10th February 2007 saw Godfather's Untouchables play their last minor round home game at Park 15, the home of the Hep C's (and Cunners' Crazy Crusaders). The open invitation to the Club to attend the "official unveiling" of the Park 15 decorations was expected to draw a large crowd. A number of cartons of beer were laid on thanks to Trophies and Peking Duck.

After picking up first innings points on day one the Hep C's started day two by setting Grange a target of 144. The first surprise visitor for the day was Old Red great Andrew "Ces" Stevens who's son is playing for Grange juniors. However it was the appearance of the Hep C's Spiritual Leader, Greg "Colonel" Sanders that really lifted the team, especially Betty Davis who took 5 wickets, as they rolled out Grange for a critical outright win.

The game was played in good spirits and after a beer or two the Grange players left and the Hep C's retired into the rooms for a team photo. As the rooms had been additionally furnished with a television and video recorder, the team was treated to a very special video presentation. Pulled out of the archives, from 1993, was an episode of the Wheel Of Fortune ... back in the days when Baby John was the host with the lovely Adriana Xenides. Bring on the final special guest appearance for the day ... Ben "BAD" Allen sporting a 30cm pony tail ... winning the final show of the year including the major prize ... a Ford Festiva!

It certainly was a huge hit and parts of the video ... "S" for Sydney ... were played on two more occasions as players arrived from the other grounds. In attendance were ...

Hep C's - Colonel, Oxygen Please, Hubcaps, Whippet, Hammer, Olly, Num Num, Steve, Jar Jar, BA, Grain Fed, Chopper, Peking Duck, Nobby, Dags, Pichy, Clown, Betty

A's - Great White Hope, Buttman, Mr Cricket, Freestyler, Prince
B's - Chucker, Burra, Bevan, Victor, Dangerous
D's -
E's - Rubbo, Little Fats, Captain, Chicken
Other - Craig Paterson (mate of Trent's)

A special thanks to Mr Cricket who brought with him his sensational platter of curried egg sandwiches and water melon. In the end we had over 30 players representing most grades attend at Park 15 before heading to the Astor for presentations.

The Hep C's were glad to finally return the favour after the B's hosted the Park 9 Lock-in earlier in the season.

Bring on the finals ... and remember ... you too can be a winner like Benny!
